Meet Gayle – “My Aha Moment”

After completing a Cert IV in Bookkeeping, Gayle worked as a full-time bookkeeper and office manager in small businesses, gaining valuable bookkeeping experience. It was during this time she noticed that she was the first qualified bookkeeper in every role she had – and the books were usually messy and incorrect.  

She felt the general standard of bookkeeping was poor yet an essential part of businesses – so Gayle started her own business.  She decided to specialise in training, as training and mentoring others to increase their skills adds more value to their business. 

Gayle uses her unique vision and holistic approach to communicate with and train others. She does more than just bookkeeping, she is passionate about increasing the knowledge and skills of others to provide extra value to businesses.

As of 1 March 2010, the ATO now requires bookkeepers who provide a BAS service to be registered.

Don’t risk your business with an inexperienced bookkeeper. It can be an expensive, stressful, and counterproductive experience.

Have the confidence to let your business flourish, knowing your bookkeeper is qualified and registered.

BAS agent requirements

A bookkeeper can apply to become a Registered BAS Agent once they meet the high standards of registration.

That means we can put a wealth of experience and specialised skills into your business, allowing it to thrive, including:

A minimum of a Cert IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping or Accounting).
Membership with at least one professional bookkeeping or accounting body is recommended.

1,400 hours of supervised experience lodging BAS over the past four years.


Maintaining knowledge and skills, taking relevant courses and keeping up to date with legislation.

Maintaining Professional indemnity insurance to compensate clients in the event of loss due to an act, error or omission provided by a BAS Agent.

Professional Code of Conduct

A BAS Agent follows a professional Code of Conduct, so you will always know what to expect from us.

Breaches can mean huge fines or loss of registration. To ensure your protection, the code we follow covers the following areas:

Acting honestly, complying with tax laws, dealing with money in a trustworthy manner.

Acting in the best interest of the client and management of conflict of interest that may arise.

Not disclosing information to a third party without client’s permission or legal duty to do so.
Taking reasonable care to ascertain client state of affairs and correctly apply GST and taxation laws.
Timeliness, professional indemnity insurance, and correct administration of laws.
